Ever heard of the crown of life? In today's Bible Minute we'll explain.
The crown of life is sometimes called the sufferer's crown because it's given to those people who have suffered. And sometimes it's called the martyr's crown because it's given to those who die for the faith. 2 Timothy 3:12 says, "Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted." If you live a godly life, you can mark it down, you will be persecuted as a result. But the crown of life is given to those who withstand that persecution. James 1:12, "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him."
Jesus is fully aware of what you suffer for Him and He rewards it. For more Bible resources, come to backtothebible.org.
