Past, Present and Future

in Salvation Sin/Temptation

Did you know that salvation covers your past, your present and your future? Listen to this Bible Minute!

Believers in Christ have been saved from the penalty of sin. That's in our past. Once we come to new life in Jesus Christ, "old things have passed away."

Not only that, but we're presently being saved from the power of sin. Listen to Romans 6:7: "For when we died with Christ, we were set free from the power of sin" and then in verse 14: "For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law, but under grace."

So, what about our future? Well, we're actually going to be saved from the very presence of sin and the death it causes. Revelation 21:4 "And death will be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

Jesus offers the best for you--past, present and future. For more encouragement from God's word, visit backtothebible.org.
