Judgment can be a good thing, especially when it determines your reward. Here's today's Bible Minute.
Two times in the New Testament, the word bema is used with the "Judgment Seat of Christ." The first one is Romans 14:10 where the word is actually the "Judgment Seat of God," but that's no problem because Christ is God.
And the second one is 2 Corinthians 5:10. Paul was talking about a raised platform at which every Christian must one day stand and have our lives of service judged for the Lord. And at that heavenly bema only those who have been in the race will stand--only those who finish the race will stand. That means then, if you are not in the race today, you don't stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ.
This judgment is all about the rewarding of believers. Visit us for more resources at backtothebible.org.
