Passion of Christ Series

bs_passion1Did you see the film, The Passion of the Christ? Were you impressed with vivid images that you will always remember? We have developed a study to help you remember, apply and express the impact of the film on your life.

The first lesson in the study will focus on the Scripture verse featured in the opening moments of the film. You will get a more in-depth understanding of those verses from Isaiah and answer a few questions about the Scripture verses. The study is short and easy to read. It will be a reminder of Christ's sacrifice and bring back the gripping story you saw in the film.

This second lesson in the study will focus on the forgiven sinner as portrayed by Monica Bellucci in the film. Caught in the act of adultery, she saw acceptance and forgiveness in the eyes of the Christ. You will get a more in-depth understanding of her story from the Book of John and be challenged to apply what you read there to your life. Again, this week's study is short and easy to read.

The third lesson focuses on the Lordship of Christ as witnessed in the life of His mother, Mary. While there has been much controversy over the role of Mary in the film, we do know that Mary was present at the cross when Jesus died. As His mother, the pain of those moments must have been excruciating. But Mary did not just see Jesus as her son, she saw Him as the Son of God. You will come to understand her unique perspective and what it really means to call Jesus Christ the Lord of your life as you complete this short and easy to read study.

In this fourth installment of the The Passion of the Christ series, we examine the relationship of Jesus and his faithful disciple John. What was it in that John saw in the passion of the Lord that drew him to follow Jesus all the way to the cross. Others deserted Jesus, but not John. Why? Find out the answer to this questions and discover what its answer means to your life in this brief study.
