How does God view wickedness? Find out in today's Bible Minute from Genesis 6.
A holy God can be patient but He can't be indifferent, so He says in Genesis 6:3, "And the LORD said, 'My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.'"
That word "strive," it doesn't mean to quarrel as much as it means to contend with or to struggle with. And while God is slow to anger, He will get angry when we flaunt our sin in His face, when we spurn the wooing of His Holy Spirit.
There comes a day when the Spirit of God stops contending with a stubborn soul and simply allows us to receive what we deserve, the judgment of God.
