God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

GENESIS 1:31

Family Quest

God stepped back and looked at everything He had created, and He was happy. He is the source of all that is good. And we were created out of that goodness. Amazing! As a family, make some creations of your own: cool clay people and animals, Lego towers, or artwork using markers or finger paints. Take turns sharing the good points about your creations.

Talk It Out

· What does it mean to be good?

· What are some good things in your life?

· Who is the source of these good things? Who is the ultimate source?

Parent-Child Connection

God is the source of all goodness in the world. He was very happy when He created this world and all of the people in it. And His goodness continues to shine through His amazing creation and His people. Without this source to tap into, we would not even know how to be good. We are reminded daily of His love as we recognize His work in the good deeds of His people. Help your kids to “see” God’s goodness in the small, everyday events in life.

Talk to God

As you pray, encourage your child to (1) thank Jesus for His goodness and (2) express to the Lord how happy she is for a family to grow up in.
