Yet you are near, LORD, and all your commands are true.

PSALM 119:151

Family Quest

Play a game of hide-and-seek. Now ask your child if he can hide from God. Talk about how God is always near, no matter where we are or what we are doing.

Talk It Out

· How can God be near every one of His children at once?

· Do you ever feel God? (Is He still there when you can’t feel Him?)

· Does God see you when you are making a bad decision?

Parent-Child Connection

Reassure your child that having God always near is a good thing. He is not there to spy on us or to catch us messing up. He is there because He likes being with us. He cares for us and wants to help us as we live our everyday lives. This desire is why He continues to forgive and love us on both the good days and the bad days.

Talk to God

As you pray, encourage your child to (1) thank Jesus for His nearness and (2) ask the Lord to help him make good decisions.
