Centered on the Greatness of God - Part Seven

From: Replacing Worry for Wonder:

A Woman’s Secret to Letting Faith Flourish

By: Cheri Fuller

"When we are lost in the greatness of God,

we realize that there is no physical, emotional, or social loss so great that God cannot bring good out of it and compensate us in the next life."

Gary Thomas

Worry Busters

Praying scripture is one of the most powerful things we can do to dissolve our worries and grow in our relationship with the Lord. In the next chapter, we’re going to delve into focusing on God’s Word, praying scripture, and exchanging the lies for the truth. And in each chapter there will be verses for you to pray back to God. To begin, take one of the following verses and let the prayer below it be a springboard for your own communication with God:

O magnify the Lord with me,

And let us exalt His name together.

I sought the Lord, and He answered me,

And delivered me from all my fears.

They looked to Him and were radiant,

And their faces shall never be ashamed.

(Psalm 34:3–5 NASB)

Lord, I want to magnify You and exalt Your name. I am seeking You and asking that You would deliver me from all my fears. As I look to You, I thank and praise You that You’ve promised I will be radiant and my face shall never be ashamed.

Why are you in despair, O my soul?

And why have you become disturbed within me?

Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him

For the help of His presence.

(Psalm 42:5 NASB)

Praise him in his Temple, and in the heavens he made with mighty power. Praise him for his mighty works. Praise his unequaled greatness. . . . Let everything alive give praises to the Lord! You praise him!

(Psalm 150:1–2, 6 TLB)

Father, I admit that I’ve been in despair and fear, my heart disturbed within me. I want to hope in You, for with the help of Your presence and Your Spirit, I will again praise You! I praise You for Your mighty power and mighty works!
