Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.

Matthew 20:34

Family Quest

As a family, make a list of people you know who have great needs in their lives (health, family, finances, etc.). On that same list, jot down how you can show them compassion.

Talk It Out

· Does God know all the needs of everyone in the world?

· Does He have compassion for those who are not healed?

· What is compassion?

· As a Christian, how can you show compassion to people around you?

Parent-Child Connection

A good way to explain compassion to your kids is to show them that it is “love in action.” Compassion begins in our hearts and is then shown through our actions. God has shown us this kind of love, and now it is our turn to show this kind of love to others.

Talk to God

As you pray, encourage your child to (1) thank Jesus for His compassion and (2) ask the Lord to show her how to be compassionate to others.
