The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.

PSALM 29:4

Family Quest

Take turns demonstrating different types of voices: everything you can think of from a loud and powerful voice to a soft and gentle one. Discuss how it makes you feel when you hear each voice.

Talk It Out

· What do you think God’s voice sounds like? Do you think His voice sounds like the ones you came up with?

· What are some of the ways God talks to His children? What is the main way God talks to us today?

· What can you do to hear God better?

Parent-Child Connection

Refer to some of God’s other attributes that you have learned about in this devotional guide. How do they connect with the “voice of God”? God speaks to us through His Word, prayer, preachers, authors, and that small feeling we get in our gut when we are faced with a difficult decision. We will always benefit when we listen to what God is telling us. He always works in our favor.

Talk to God

As you pray, encourage your child to (1) thank Jesus for having the one true voice we can trust and (2) ask the Lord for help hearing Him more clearly.
