By: Michael and Tiffany Ross

“You are worthy, our LORD and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

REVELATION 4:11

Family Quest

Take turns naming your hero. Explain both their strong and weak points. Now discuss how God is far more worthy of your praise than anything or any person He created.

Talk It Out

· What does it mean to be worthy of glory?

· How is God bigger and better than your hero?

· How can we honor God this week as a family?

Parent-Child Connection

Honor is not a word that is used very much today. As you discuss this word, help your child to find practical ways he can honor God. Honor goes far beyond just following the rules. It is a matter of the heart. It’s like singing a praise song at church. It doesn’t mean anything if we just sing the words without meaning them. But when the words come from the heart, God is pleased with our honest praise. This example might help your child see the difference between following the rules and following God with his heart.

Talk to God

As you pray, encourage your child to (1) thank Jesus for being so big and mighty and (2) ask the Lord to help him appreciate what He has done for him.
