Definition of Love

in Love Relationships

Here's David Chadwick with today's Bible Minute.

The one thing I want all of you to avoid today is the wrong definition of love. We tend to think it's a syrupy feeling we feel inside, a mere sentiment. But love is much more than that.

I love this phrase: Love is a verb. Love is something we do. Love is action. So today if you really love someone, maybe it's a fiance, maybe it's your spouse, maybe it's a child, your mom, your dad, an aunt, uncle, maybe just a friend--if you really love them, go do something for them.

Write a note to them and tell them how much you love them. Buy a present for them. Give them a special gift. Just do something because the reality is love is not merely a feeling it's much more than that. Love is a verb. Love is something we do so if you love somebody today, go do something. That's the true full expression of love.
