Here's David Chadwick with today's Bible Minute.
The one thing I want all of you to avoid today is the wrong definition of love. We tend to think it's a syrupy feeling we feel inside. A mere sentiment. But love is much more than that.
I love this phrase: "love is a verb." Love is something we do. Love is action. So today, if you really love someone, maybe it's a fiance, maybe it's your spouse, maybe it's a child, your mom, your dad, an aunt, uncle, maybe just a friend. If you really love them, go do something for them.
Write a note to them and tell them how much you love them. Buy a present for them. Just do something. Because the reality is, love is not merely a feeling, it's much more than that. Love is a verb. Love is something we do. So if you love somebody today, go do something. That's the true full expression of love.
