Light of the World

in Christian Living/Situational Holiness

If you've ever experienced a blackout, you understand how important light is. I'm Ron Moore with today's Bible Minute.

Speaking to his followers in Matthew 5:14 and 16, Jesus said, "You are the light of the world.... Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. "

In a world rendered pitch-black by sin, believers cut through the dark and demonstrate what it looks like when the Spirit of the living God occupies the human heart.

When we truly live a Spirit-transformed life, people see how we do singleness, marriage, and parenting. They observe how we handle illness, disappointment, and loss. When the light of the living God shines through us, God gets all the glory. Is that cool or what?
