This is the Bible Minute.
Suppose you're caught in a burning building. So you lie on the floor to wait for the inevitable. But suddenly a fireman knocks a hole in the wall and he calls out, "Let's go! Follow me!"
You ask, "Are you kidding me? Only one way out? No thanks, I'm staying here."
That's ridiculous, isn't it? We would be more than happy to escape through that one hole in the wall. And we would thank the fireman profusely for risking his life to save ours.
That's the idea behind Jesus' words in John 14:6. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Skeptics call only one way narrow-minded--I get that. But Christians call the one way Jesus provided by the cross, amazing grace.
