Sometimes the answer to our questions isn't a "why," but a "who." This is today's Bible Minute.
Job was a man who went through hell on earth. He lost all his material possessions, his ten children, and his health. Job's wife told him to curse God and die. And Job's friends, well they didn't help much either.
Now we get to chapter 38 of Job and it's God's turn to speak. "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?" (Job 38:4-5).
Honestly, it sounds a bit harsh. But you have to understand that God is reminding Job why He can be trusted. God is eternal. God is independent. He is the creator.
