Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance? Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as his counselor? Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding?
Family Quest
Find three small balls and try to juggle. Unless you are in the minority of people who can juggle, this will be difficult and funny at the same time.
Talk It Out
· How long do you think it would take to learn to juggle?
· How can God do so many things at one time?
· Can you list all of the things that God handles by himself at one time? Does He need help from anyone else?
Parent-Child Connection
This devotional helps us all to see how different we are from God. His abilities and understanding are far beyond anything we humans could ever achieve. And He uses that knowledge to guide us through life. He is powerful and loving. We couldn’t ask for a better God!
Talk to God
As you pray, encourage your child to (1) thank Jesus for being so big and mighty and (2) ask the Lord to help him appreciate what He has done for him.
