He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

Family Quest

Take an old vase or some “white elephant” item in your house that is breakable. Go outside and smash it on the ground. Collect the pieces and them try to reassemble the item piece by piece.

Talk It Out

· Were you able to put the broken item back together again? Did it look the same?

· How can you be broken?

· Do you ever have to ask God to put you back together?

· Are you useful to God after He has put you back together?

Parent-Child Connection

God restores us to a condition that is better than anything we could imagine. Sometimes we only want small fixes in life while He desires that we live a full and complete life. He wants us to be more than just functional; He wants us to share in His mission and passion and calls us to be an integral part of His plan. He continues to do this good work in us every day. He is constantly healing us and restoring us to wholeness. Let your child know that God is our ultimate Healer!

Talk to God

As you pray, encourage your child to (1) thank Jesus for being so big and mighty and (2) ask the Lord to help him appreciate what He has done for him.
