1 John – Week 7 – Day 5

READ 

1 John 4:11-12 

11 Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. 

We love God because He first loved us. Now that we know that He loved us so much, we should respond by loving others. People cannot see God, but if they see love demonstrated in the lives of Christians they will get a glimpse of God’s love. This will bring His love into full expression as others see His love lived out in the lives of His followers. 

REFLECT 

You can tell others about Jesus, but you can also show them the love of God in your life. This is done by what you do for others and how much you care for them. 

RESPOND 

Talk with your disciple about what both of you have done this past week that might have shown the love of God to others. Admit also to each other what opportunities you missed in doing this.
