READ
1 John 4:20-21
20 If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? 21 And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.
Notice what this verse does not say and what it does say. It does not say you need to confront a person who says he loves God but hates a fellow believer. It does say that you do not need to believe the person because the person is a liar. Notice also it indicates it is easier to love those you can see than God whom you cannot see. Unbelievers can only see God in the lives of believers.
