READ
1 John 5:9-10
9 Since we believe human testimony, surely we can believe the greater testimony that comes from God. And God has testified about his Son. 10 All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true. Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about his Son.
Is it not strange that some people refuse to believe the Bible because it is written by men, they say, but they believe books written by men about evolution and atheism? God has revealed truths about His only Son and those who do not believe the recorded testimony in the Bible are calling Him a liar. This is a dangerous position for someone to take.
REFLECT
You should be extremely grateful you have a copy of the Scriptures to see what God has had written about His Son. This enables you to reread passages to refresh your memory.
RESPOND
The Bible has 66 separate books written over a period of many years, and yet there are no contradictions in it. This is because all of the books were inspired by the same divine author—God. He used humans to record what He had breathed out to them. Two key passages in this regard are 2 Timothy 3:16 and 2 Peter 1:20-21. Even if not memorized, these passages should be on your mind when you need to find them.
