READ
1 Thessalonians 2:11-12
11 And you know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children. 12 We pleaded with you, encouraged you, and urged you to live your lives in a way that God would consider worthy. For he called you to share in his Kingdom and glory.
Paul mentioned previously that he, Silas and Timothy treated the Thessalonian believers as a mother nursing her own child. Here he said they treated them as a loving father treats his children. Paul and his companions pleaded with them to live a life that God would consider worthy. Believers should do this because they are called to share in God’s kingdom and glory.
REFLECT
Are you living a life that God would consider worthy? This would not be so you could earn merit before God but in thankfulness to Him for providing for your salvation.
RESPOND
