1 Thessalonians – Week 4 – Day 4

READ 

1 Thessalonians 3:9-10 

9 How we thank God for you! Because of you we have great joy as we enter God’s presence. 10 Night and day we pray earnestly for you, asking God to let us see you again to fill the gaps in your faith. 

Paul was so overjoyed with Timothy’s good report from the believers in Thessalonica that he wrote them to express his joy and affection for them. They were on his mind and in his prayers “night and day.” He was specifically asking God for the privilege of seeing these believers again. He knew they were going through persecution for their trust in Jesus and wanted to fill up what was lacking in their faith. 

REFLECT  

Think of the joy it brings you when you learn someone you helped spiritually is doing well. Does this encourage you to remember them even more in your prayer times? 

RESPOND 

Discuss with your disciple those responding or not responding to your spiritual help. Even if nothing is heard from them, one needs to trust the Holy Spirit to bring to their minds whatever you discussed with them.
