READ
1 Thessalonians 4:9-10
9 But we don’t need to write to you about the importance of loving each other, for God himself has taught you to love one another. 10 Indeed, you already show your love for all the believers throughout Macedonia. Even so, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you to love them even more.
Paul commended the believers in Thessalonica for loving others. This love had been seen in all of Greece. He did not want them to be content with doing well—he wanted them to go even further in excelling to love even more. They should look for new ways of showing their love for other believers. Paul was both an encourager in what they were doing and an exhorter to do even more.
REFLECT
Spend time thinking of new ways you can show the love of Christ to other believers. This will be greatly encouraging to them.
RESPOND
You and your friend should be actively involved in a local church fellowship. Read John 13:34-35 to see how believers will prove to the world they are the disciples of Jesus.
