READ
1 Thessalonians 5:26-28
26 Greet all the brothers and sisters with a sacred kiss. 27 I command you in the name of the Lord to read this letter to all the brothers and sisters. 28 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Customs differ on how to greet others. The main thing is to be warmhearted to fellow believers. Paul wanted this letter read to believers. If you and your friend have followed these posts each week, you have now obeyed this command. Paul had spent his former life as a Pharisee trying to earn God’s favor by rules. Then he was saved by the grace of God, which is referred to in his final statement in this letter.
REFLECT
Have you thought about the difference the grace of God has made in your life not only in your salvation but also in your daily life?
RESPOND
Talk with your disciple about some of the things that have been learned from this focus on 1 Thessalonians. Have you read all of the verses in it? If not, it would not take long to go back and read all of it. May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
