1 Timothy – Week 10 – Day 5

1 Timothy 6:3 

3 Some people may contradict our teaching, but these are the wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. These teachings promote a godly life. 

Paul was aware some might not agree with what he wrote, so he added this statement. He described what he wrote as “wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.” He added the purpose of the instructions he had given—they “promote a godly life.” Surely any believer would want to follow instructions that had such a high and spiritual purpose. 

REFLECT 

As you read the Scriptures, are you impressed with them being wholesome teachings that promote a godly life? Think of the Bible in this way.
