1 Timothy – Week 12 – Day 3

1 Timothy 6:19 

19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life. 

Paul referred to those storing up treasures for heaven instead of for earthly benefits. As believers in Jesus they should be more concerned about eternal rewards than temporal ones. A foundation is the crucial part for any building, and Paul mentions it being established by storing up treasure that has eternal value. Doing such will enable the one storing up the treasure to “experience true life.”  

REFLECT 

Think on your life and evaluate what you are doing that has eternal value.
