READ
1 Timothy 6:15-16
15 For, At just the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only almighty God, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords. 16 He alone can never die, and he lives in light so brilliant that no human can approach him. No human eye has ever seen him, nor ever will. All honor and power to him forever! Amen.
Paul wanted Timothy to live a fault-free life before others. Here Paul mentioned meeting Jesus face to face. As some have said, “Think about the end of your life and what you want it to be like, and then move back from there and develop your life accordingly.” Believers will someday stand before Jesus to give account and be rewarded for what they have done for Him.
REFLECT
Have you thought about this perspective for your life? Do you not think it is a good goal to strive for?
RESPOND
With a fellow believer, read 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 to see what it says about giving account to Jesus. The question does not relate to salvation because the people involved are believers in Jesus and are already in heaven. It relates to rewards for believers in Jesus.
