1 Timothy – Week 2 – Day 5

READ 

1 Timothy 2:3-5 

3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. 5 For, there is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. 

Notice God desires everyone to be saved. This will not occur, however, unless a person turns to God and trusts in Jesus as Savior. Notice also that no human being stands between the believer and God—Jesus Christ is the “one God and one Mediator.” Jesus is the only one who can reconcile God and humanity. 

REFLECT 

Think about the fact that the Lord Jesus is in heaven praying for you. You could not have a better prayer warrior on your behalf.

With your disciple, read passages that tell about Jesus praying for believers. See John 17:13-19 to see what Jesus prayed for believers as He was in the Garden of Gethsemane. See also 1 John 2:1-2.
