1 Timothy – Week 5 – Day 2

1 Timothy 3:11 

11 In the same way, their wives must be respected and must not slander others. They must exercise self-control and be faithful in everything they do.  

There are instructions for selecting deacons and there are also considerations to be taken concerning their wives. Some interpret this passage as a separate group of deaconesses. Whether that is the case or not, the women involved should not smear the reputation of others and should “exercise self-control and be faithful in everything they do.”

Do you have women in your assembly of believers who can meet these high standards? 

RESPOND 

Is there some woman you know who should be encouraged to be in this high position of responsibility? Perhaps they are only waiting to be encouraged to step forward.
