2 Peter – Week 4 – Day 4

2 Peter 2:17-18 

17 These people are as useless as dried-up springs or as mist blown away by the wind. They are doomed to blackest darkness. 18 They brag about themselves with empty, foolish boasting. With an appeal to twisted sexual desires, they lure back into sin those who have barely escaped from a lifestyle of deception. 

False teachers have no substance and are worthless. They “appeal to twisted sexual desires.” Think how that applies today with thinking there are more than two genders and one can be whichever he or she wants to be. Regrettably, the false teachers even drag those back into a carnal life who have “barely escaped from a lifestyle of deception.” 

REFLECT 

Think of the serious condemnation these false teachers will have. 

RESPOND 

Talk with a friend about the fact that all sin is sin, but there will be different degrees of punishment because unbelievers are judged according to their works. Read Revelation 20:13-15 for this information and the final destiny of the lost.
