READ
2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
11 So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies. 12 Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth.
Because people did not receive Jesus as Savior and passed into the Tribulation, God will cause them to be deceived and to believe the lies of the “man of lawlessness,” empowered by Satan. It seems those deceived are ones who had heard and understood the gospel but willfully rejected it. Those who rejected the Lord Jesus did so because they would rather enjoy evil than believe the truth about Jesus.
REFLECT
Think of the many people who have heard the gospel, understood it, and rejected it. If the rapture should occur during their lifetime, they would be left on earth and would be deceived to believe a lie.
RESPOND
With your friend, pray for those you know who may be considering trusting in Jesus. Pray they will do so before it is too late.
