READ
2 Thessalonians 3:16
16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
The believers in Thessalonica were being persecuted for their faith. They likely were lacking in peace for their lives. Paul now asked that the “Lord of peace” give them “his peace at all times and in every situation.” That is certainly what they needed. In case they felt alone in the difficulties they were experiencing, Paul encouraged them by saying, “The Lord be with you all.”
REFLECT
What are you passing through now? Do you need peace? If you have trusted in Jesus as Savior you have the “Lord of peace” who can give you peace all the time in every situation.
RESPOND
You and your friend can read about the God of peace in Hebrews 13:20-21. Discuss the need for this peace and how you can help others experience it.
