READ
2 Timothy 4:14-15
14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm, but the Lord will judge him for what he has done. 15 Be careful of him, for he fought against everything we said.
Paul cautioned Timothy about “Alexander the coppersmith.” It is not certain to which Alexander Paul referred, but he expected Timothy to know who it was. This Alexander was no friend of Paul’s and had contradicted his testimony. Paul didn’t seek vengeance against Alexander; instead he was confident God would take care of that.
REFLECT
When others disrespect you, are you able to leave it to God to deal with them?
RESPOND
Talk with a friend about the need to warn others, as Paul did, about those who could do them harm. This would especially apply to children growing up in a home. Also visit about the need to leave the judgment of them to God who knows each person’s heart.
