READ
Galatians 1:21-24
21 After that visit I went north into the provinces of Syria and Cilicia. 22 And still the churches in Christ that are in Judea didn’t know me personally. 23 All they knew was that people were saying, “The one who used to persecute us is now preaching the very faith he tried to destroy!” 24 And they praised God because of me.
Paul told of those who did not know him personally but had only heard of his reputation. Knowing about his changed life caused them to thank God for what He had done. Even though they had never met Paul, they were able to praise God for the change they heard God had brought in his life.
REFLECT
Have you thanked God for the changes you have heard He has made in the lives of others even if you have not met them personally?
RESPOND
Pray with a friend about loved ones you know who are not following the Lord. Ask God to change their hearts as He changed Paul’s heart. Once this occurs, it may take some time for that person to win the confidence of others. They may know the person only as a Christ-rejecter. Pray that the changed life of the individual will influence others to believe in Jesus.
