READ
Galatians 5:19-21
19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Jesus said you would know people by the fruit produced in their lives (see Matthew 7:15-17). Note Paul listed some sins and then said, “. . . and other sins like these.” He did not claim to give a complete list. Those living by the desires of their flesh show they do not know Jesus. They are no different than unbelievers. Paul was not referring to an occasional sin but to a lifestyle of sin.
REFLECT
Does this passage of Scripture help you in knowing how to interact with people who live as Paul described?
RESPOND
Determine in your life that you will seek to please Jesus in all you do. Read Ephesians 5:1-2 in this regard. Talk about this with other believers and urge them to do the same.
