Galatians – Week 11 – Day 4

Galatians 6:7-8 

7 Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. 8 Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. 

Paul stressed that the way one lives will be evident later. It is important for people to realize the way they live will have consequences. Choices in life have consequences and this is also true spiritually. It is important for believers to live to please the Holy Spirit. 

REFLECT 

What kind of results do you expect from the way you are living? Do you want others to see Christ in your life? Is it your desire to take as many to heaven with you as possible?

Read Psalm 146 for what the pilgrims sang as they were ascending to Jerusalem to worship.  

Talk about how this might apply to believers today.
