READ
Galatians 4:8-9
8 Before you Gentiles knew God, you were slaves to so-called gods that do not even exist. 9 So now that you know God (or should I say, now that God knows you), why do you want to go back again and become slaves once more to the weak and useless spiritual principles of this world?
Paul reminded the Gentiles that in their unsaved state they were slaves to their gods. Now that they had come to know and be known by the true God, why would they want to become slaves to the “useless spiritual principles of this world”? Paul described the rules in the Old Testament law, which he had followed as an unsaved Pharisee, as “useless.”
REFLECT
Are you trying to live by a list of rules or by your love for the Lord Jesus Christ?
RESPOND
The greatest testimony you can give is by letting others see the change Jesus has made in your life. Use Philippians 4:4-6 as an example of what you should be like to have a winsome personality that will draw others to the Jesus you know.
