Getting Started

“Here are my instructions for you. May they help you fight well in the Lord’s battles.” In his first letter to young preacher Timothy, Paul gets right to the point: The Christian life is challenging, but ultimately rewarding.

As a young pastor in the church at Ephesus, Timothy likely needed all the help he could get. In this immensely practical letter, the apostle Paul helps the young pastor with advice in many areas of church leadership. In these chapters we’ll learn how Christians ought to conduct themselves and how to strive for the faith amidst opposition.
