God and Goodness - July 24

Updated: 2 days ago

We all like to think that we're good people, but where does goodness really come from? Join Asa today as we meditate on Psalm 119 and pray for God's goodness to permeate our life as we spend time in His word.

Bible Verse: Psalm 119:65-68

You have dealt well with your servant, O Lord, according to your word. Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word. You are good and do good; teach me your statutes.

Reflect and Respond: What promises has God fulfilled for you?  Ask God to teach you His good judgment and knowledge through His Word. Ask yourself, "What do I need to do to become a more disciplined follower of Christ?" Let's pray about that.

Prayer: Father, You are the source of all goodness and knowledge.  I pray that You would lead me forward to know You more, to grow in Your goodness, and to be sensitive to following Your voice today and every day.  I pray this in Jesus' name.  Amen.
