Look Beyond Your Troubles - July 17

Updated: Jul 30

Movie makers have a tool they call "forced perspective." With it, they can cleverly make tall things look small, and vice versa. Sometimes the troubles we face each day take on a forced perspective that magnifies issues that are really pretty minor. Join Laura today for a word of encouragement and a bit of perspective from the Word of God.

Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Reflect and Respond: Think about today's verse and the quarter exercise I shared with you. How do they help you sharpen your vision?

Prayer: Father, I confess that I often get stuck in what I can see with my physical eyes.  Please help me see with spiritual eyes so that I can live in the light of your eternal kingdom.  Amen.
