Philippians 1:25-26
25 Knowing this, I am convinced that I will remain alive so I can continue to help all of you grow and experience the joy of your faith. 26 And when I come to you again, you will have even more reason to take pride in Christ Jesus because of what he is doing through me.
In his case, Paul was convinced he would remain alive at that time to continue to help the Philippian believers. He wanted them to spiritually grow and rejoice in their faith. He looked forward to seeing them when they would have more reason to take pride in Jesus for what He was doing through Paul. Note that their pride was to be in Jesus for what He could do in and through the apostle Paul.
REFLECT
Do you thank the Lord for what He has done in and through one of your friends?
RESPOND
Talk with your disciple about what God has done in and through each of you. Let one of you talk about the other.
