READ
Philippians 4:19-20
19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. 20 Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen.
Because the Philippian believers had financially supported him, Paul was able to assure them that God would provide for their needs out of his “glorious riches.” Paul wanted them to know that the same God who took care of him would take care of them. The thought of all of this causes Paul to break out in a doxology: “All glory to God our Father forever and ever!” Just to think how the sovereign God works should cause believers to give praise to Him.
REFLECT
As you think about the way God has worked in your life, does it cause you to break out in praise to Him?
RESPOND
Read Ephesians 3:19-21 to see another passage where Paul’s thoughts cause him to praise God for who He is and what He has done.
