Philippians - Week 4 - Day 4

READ 

Philippians 2:9-11 

9 Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 

Paul now reveals what the heavenly Father did for His only Son because of what His Son was willing to do. Some refuse to believe the Bible and say it was only written by men. Yet they believe books written by men that deny God. Even though they refuse to recognize Jesus now, the day will come when their knees will bow to Him and they will declare that Jesus Christ is Lord; that is, that He is God.  

REFLECT 

Think about the unbelievers to whom you witness and they reject Jesus now. You may be confident that one day they will openly declare that He is God to the glory of the Father. 

RESPOND 

Read 1 Corinthians 15:20-28 that tells about what Jesus will do after His resurrection. Your goal should not be to completely understand it but to believe what it says.
