RECEIVE
Titus 1:2-3
2 This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God—who does not lie—promised them before the world began. 3 And now at just the right time he has revealed this message, which we announce to everyone. It is by the command of God our Savior that I have been entrusted with this work for him.
Paul referred to the truth that God had entrusted to him. Paul’s desire was to announce it to everyone. It would give confidence to those who have eternal life that was promised to them “before the world began.” As an apostle, it was commanded by God that Paul be entrusted with the work of God.
REFLECT
As a believer, you can rejoice in the salvation you have that was promised before the foundation of the world.
RESPOND
Visit with a friend about God’s work in salvation. He does not send anyone to hell. Because of Adam’s sin everyone was condemned (see Romans 5:12). Had God not chosen some to be saved, all would have gone to hell. Read Ephesians 1:3-8 to see what God has done for those He chose.
