RECEIVE
Titus 1:16
16 Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.
Notice that not everyone who “claims” to know God actually knows God. Such people show what they really believe by the way they live. Paul described them as “detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.” This was a great condemnation of them and their teaching.
REFLECT
How are your friends living who say they are believers? Do their lives glorify God?
RESPOND
Visit with a friend about what Jesus said about detecting people who are not true believers. His words are recorded in Matthew 7:15-20. As the saying goes, “If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you.”
