RECEIVE
Titus 2:1-2
1 As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching. 2 Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience.
Paul instructed Titus what he should teach. Christ-followers should live in a way that reflects what they have been taught. Titus was to teach older men to be good spiritual examples. They not only needed to be sound in the faith but also to be filled with love and patience. That is a balance hard for some to demonstrate.
REFLECT
If you are in the category of “older men” these instructions are for you. Remember, no matter what age you are, you are older than some others. The same is true of being spiritually older.
RESPOND
Visit with a friend about Paul’s instructions to Titus in this passage. Is this kind of instruction being given to the men in your fellowship?
