Day 1
RECEIVE
Titus 2:9-10
9 Slaves must always obey their masters and do their best to please them. They must not talk back 10 or steal, but must show themselves to be entirely trustworthy and good. Then they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive in every way.
In the Roman Empire of Paul’s day slaves were common because the Empire would conquer a people and reduce them to slavery. Many of these slaves became believers and were in the local churches. Paul writes to tell those believing slaves how they should live out their Christianity. They were to live in such a way that they would “make the teaching about God our Savior attractive in every way.”
