RECEIVE
Titus 3:12
12 I am planning to send either Artemas or Tychicus to you. As soon as one of them arrives, do your best to meet me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to stay there for the winter.
This is the only mention of Artemas in the New Testament. Tychicus was one of Paul’s companions (see Acts 20:1-4). This is the only mention of Nicopolis in the New Testament. (The name ends with polis meaning “city.”) Wherever this city was Paul was planning to remain there for the winter.
REFLECT
It helps to have sources to look up names mentioned in the Bible. Sometimes you will find there is no other mention of the word; at other times there will be several references to it.
RESPOND
As Paul was completing his letter to Titus he told him of the plans he had. Of course, those plans were sometimes changed. Talk with a friend about the need to make plans to have an orderly life even if those plans might later have to be changed.
