READ
Colossians 1:7-8
7 You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co-worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf. 8 He has told us about the love for others that the Holy Spirit has given you.
Epaphras was the one who told the Colossians about the gospel. At the time of Paul’s writing Colossians, Epaphras was helping Paul and others. Paul referred to Epaphras as a “beloved co-worker.” In Philemon 1:23, Paul referred to Epaphras as a fellow prisoner with him. Epaphras had told Paul about the love for others that the Holy Spirit had given the Colossians.
REFLECT
Do you realize, as a follower of Christ, the love you have for others has come from the Holy Spirit within you? Thank the Lord for this.
RESPOND
Talk with your disciple about what others may be saying about both of you. Would they talk about the love you have for other believers? Read John 13:35 to see what Jesus said about believers loving one another. Is this what others are observing about your local group?
